CHIAKI KONDO

Born in Tokyo, Japan.

Studied under Sawada Katsukuni of the Sawada school of Tsugaru shamisen from age 6, and assumed the name Sawada Kunisaki in 2016. She also studied under Iemoto "Susumu Fujiyama" of the Fujiyama school of min'yo (folk music) from the age of three, and assumed the name Susumu Fujiyama in 2019.

He is in charge of Tsugaru Shamisen in the Japanese instrumental metal band KAGURAMUSOU, which will start in October 2020. He has performed live in Europe, East Asia, and abroad, as well as with world-renowned guitarist Marty Friedman.

He is currently pursuing new musical possibilities with his roots in shamisen and minyo (Japanese folk music).
