REI NAKAJIMA
Born in Soma City, Fukushima Prefecture.
She started playing the piano at the age of 3 and discovered the shakuhachi at the age of 11.
After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, she majored in shakuhachi in the Department of Traditional Japanese Music at the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts.
He has performed in Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and many other places in Japan and abroad.
He has studied under Suzan Yuzuhara of the Tozan School, Minezan Nomura (living national treasure), Taizan Kawamura, Kunizan Yamamoto II, Dozan Fujiwara, Seizan Ishigaki II, and Komei Takemura of the Kinko-ryu.
He made his major debut with Bamboo Flute Orchestra "Shakuhachi Classic" released by Sony Music in 2018.
Currently, she is studying with Nomura Mineyama, studying a wide range of music from classical to contemporary pieces, and performing in Fukushima and Tokyo.
He is an associate teacher of the Miyakoyama-style Shakuhachi Gakkai and a first grade student of the Shihan examination.
He is a member of the Japan Sankyoku Society.
Instructor of Saino-On Koto Shakuhachi School. Member of Ensemble AYA.
