At Asakusa Kaminari-ren, we base our style on the authentic Awa Odori of Tokushima, while also challenging ourselves to create original music and dances that capture the unique character of Asakusa and the downtown spirit of Tokyo.

Our members range in age from 3 to their 70s. By treasuring each individual’s heart and uniting our harmony as one, we strive every day to embody the elegance of Edo’s shitamachi (old downtown) spirit and bring it to life through the traditional art of Awa Odori.

We are truly delighted to be able to dance here in our hometown, Asakusa.
We are Kaminari-ren — a troupe where everyone is like family, our “Kaminari Family.”
