Tensei-ren

Nice to meet you, everyone in Asakusa.
We are Tensei-ren, based in Shibuya Ward.

Since 2018, before the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been a sister troupe of Shinbashi-ren, a member of the Tokushima Awa Odori Promotion Association. Ever since, we have devoted our passion to the Awa Odori we love so deeply, traveling back and forth between Tokushima and Tokyo.

Our performances feature the free-spirited men’s dance, the graceful yet at times fierce women’s dance, and the authentic Tokushima atmosphere carried by our musicians, who play with the traditional two-beat rhythm at the heart of Awa Odori.
