Kyoichi Iwakiri
(Kyoichi Iwakiri)

Born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1992. He has been a member of Tachibana Taiko "Hibiki-za" since the fourth grade of elementary school. He won the Prime Minister's Prize for the best performance at the Nippon Taiko Junior Competition.

In 2016, he embarked on a nationwide concert tour.

In addition to taiko ensembles, he also performs sessions with Japanese and Western instruments, as well as competing with various artists such as GLAY, Yosuke Yamashita, and Kazuhiro Nishijima, while also performing at major corporate events and giving concerts exclusively for tourists.

In 2021, he released a mini-album digitally with Re:connect, an art music group for which he serves as producer, which reached #2 on the iTunes Store (Japan) "Top Instrumental Albums."

In 2021 and 2023, he composed music for a team competing in the Nippon Taiko Junior Competition, for which he received the Prime Minister's Award.

In 2022, he formed the creative group SENRINEL. He is also a visual producer and commercial producer. He is also active as a creator and director of artworks such as "A Flower Bloomed by Re:connect Oto" and the taiko piece "Tsuki no Shizuku Filling Place".

In addition to his activities as a taiko performer and composer, he is a taiko performer of the new era, producing projects, stage productions, video, artwork, and space design.
